Why I Created Touch Therapy

Can I tell you what I see every single week?

Men are bloody touch starved.

And it's not because there's something wrong with them.

It's because life has changed.

They work longer than ever before. Stress has become normal. Relationships are under pressure. More men are leaving long-term relationships feeling completely lost. Others are choosing to stay single after divorce because it just feels easier. Plenty are having sex, but they're not experiencing real intimacy. They're lying next to someone without ever really feeling connected.

Then there's body image. Men don't talk about it, but they're just as hard on themselves as women can be. They avoid mirrors. They stop taking their shirt off. They become self-conscious. Little by little they disconnect from their own body.

What I find really sad is that most don't even realise it's happening.

Think about yourself as a little kid, six or seven years old. Mum or Dad would run their fingers up your back or arm and you'd nearly bend in half laughing because it tickled so much. Your nervous system was alive. Your body felt everything.

Fast forward forty years. Now you're fifty.

Your shoulders are permanently tight. Your breathing is shallow. Someone runs their hand across your back or arm and... nothing.... Your skin barely responds because your nervous system has spent years protecting you instead of allowing you to feel.

You've unknowingly become the man of steel.

On the outside you keep showing up.

You go to work.

You pay the bills.

You look after everyone else.

But underneath all of that... a lot of men are emotionally lonely, silently screaming someone touch me. They're craving genuine connection, even if they don't have the words for it.

That's why I created Touch Therapy.

We Were Never Meant To Go Through Life Without Touch

Can I tell you something I genuinely believe?

As human beings, we were never designed to go through life without touch.

From the moment we're born, touch is one of the first ways we learn safety, comfort and connection. It's how a baby is soothed. It's how a child knows they're loved. It's how we comfort our partners, our children, our friends and the people we care about.

Then somewhere along the way, many men stop receiving it.

Not because they don't need it anymore.

Because life changes.

Relationships break down.

Some become sexless.

Some men lose their partner.

Others stay single.

Work gets busier.

Stress becomes normal.

Before they know it, months or even years have passed without experiencing genuine, caring physical touch.

The problem is, your body doesn't stop needing touch just because you've become an adult.

Biologically, your nervous system still responds to safe, caring touch. Psychologically, we still need connection. When we go without those things for long periods, many men begin feeling emotionally lonely, disconnected and constantly on edge. Some notice they're sleeping poorly, some find themselves withdrawing from relationships, while others simply feel like they're existing instead of really living.

That's why Touch Therapy isn't just about massage.

It's about giving your nervous system the opportunity to slow down.

To soften.

To reconnect.

And perhaps, for the first time in a very long time...

To simply feel again.

Why The Session Begins Differently

Touch Therapy asks something of you that most other treatments don't.

It asks you to trust someone you've only just met.

That's not always easy.

So before we even begin the massage, we simply sit together in a softly lit room and have a chat. More than anything, I want to understand why you chose this session. What was happening in your life that made you think, "I need this."

For some men, that's the first time in a very long time they've had someone genuinely listen to them. Not interrupt. Not try to fix them. Just listen. You'd be surprised how emotional that can be.

There's no rush.

We're not racing the clock.

Every session unfolds at the pace that's right for you on the day. Some men open up straight away. Others don't say much at all. Both are perfectly okay.

You don't need to impress me.

You don't need to know exactly what to say.

You just need to show up as yourself.

The trust comes naturally from there.

What Happens Next?

Once we've spent a little time getting to know each other and you're feeling comfortable, you'll be invited to undress to your underwear before settling onto the treatment bed, where you'll remain appropriately draped throughout the session.

From there, there's nothing you need to do.

No expectations.

No performance.

No trying to relax.

Just breathe.

As the session unfolds, I'll guide you through each stage, checking in along the way and making sure you're comfortable. The pace is never dictated by the clock, but by you and what you need on the day.

Some men chat.

Some become emotional.

Some drift into complete silence.

Others simply close their eyes and, for the first time in a very long time, allow themselves to stop and simply feel.

There is no right or wrong way to experience Touch Therapy.

Every man arrives with a different story.

Every session honours that.

Let's Talk About The Awkward Stuff

One thing I've learnt over the years is that most men have the exact same questions before they book.

They're just not always comfortable asking them.

So let's get them out of the way.

Is Touch Therapy sexual?

No.
Touch Therapy is a professional therapeutic session designed to help men experiencing skin hunger, emotional loneliness and a lack of meaningful physical touch.

Do you remain clothed?

Absolutely.

I remain fully clothed throughout the entire session.

What if I become emotional?

Then you become emotional.

There's nothing wrong with that.

It happens more often than you might think.

What if I become aroused?

Arousal can be a completely natural physiological response.

If it happens, it happens.

If it doesn't, it doesn't.

Either way, there's no judgement, no expectation and no pressure.

Sometimes Healing Begins With Feeling Safe

The world asks a lot of men.

Be strong.

Provide.

Protect.

Keep going.

Keep it together.

Most do.

Every single day.

Until their body forgets what it feels like to simply stop.

I believe that underneath all of those responsibilities is still a man who wants to feel safe.

Seen.

Appreciated.

And cared for.

Not because he's weak.

Because he's human.

If you've been carrying the weight of the world for a long time...

Maybe this is the place where, for just one hour...

You don't have to.
